Here at Detox Mode, we are actively contributing to the Earth CPR initiative created by our founder and CEO. The Earth CPR Initiative is our sustainability roadmap to achieving our goals of being carbon negative, planting at least 2.5 million trees, and inspiring others to follow suit—all by 2025.
In addition to planting a tree for every Detox Mode product sold, we are working behind the scenes to cut down on the amount of packaging we use, while opting for more sustainable materials.
Change isn’t possible without transparency. Starting in the summer of 2020, all new Detox Mode products will display packaging materials and simple instructions for disposing of the outer packaging responsibly.

Step by Step Deodorant Disposal
Our deodorant packaging is made of mixed plastics and until we develop more sustainable packaging options, we encourage you to join us in recycling plastics responsibly.
The easiest way to dispose of any Detox Mode empty is through The Detox Market’s partnership with Terracycle—simply bring your empty, clean container to your nearest The Detox Market location and toss it in the Terracycle bin. If you aren’t near one of our brick-and-mortar locations, you can take the following steps to properly dispose of our deodorant packaging:
Step One Remove cap and discard. The cap is made of two different fused plastics so it cannot be recycled.
Step Two Pop out the bottom of the twist-up tube.
Step Three Take a thin, blunt tool—we used the bottom of a silver spoon, but a key also works—and press the rectangular plastic parts of the tube inward while pushing down. It should pop out with minimum effort.
Step Four Some recycling centers may require you to remove labels—luckily, ours peel off easily!
Step Five Recycle all your plastic parts in your nearest blue bin. Thank you for recycling responsibly!
